Points and awards

Okay soldier, you've found this page because you want to earn rank fast! Good move, because I am going to tell you how to do it. Now the advice in this section may be unethical and not always in your armies overall interests, however I have learned in my career that if you want to get places, you're going to have to step on a few toes!

Right, so let me tell you this now. The most single and fastest way to earn points quickly is to act as the commander on a winning side. A bonus will be added to your score at the end of the round, which normally equates to be approximately double the score you achieved while playing. And in the game soldier, points mean ranks.

When playing commander, it is important to note how to score. Take close note of the following and you will soon be on your way:

1) Artillary strikes. Use your Caps-Lock map display to scan for the red dots signifying the enemy. If you find a bunch of the opposition sitting close together (more than likely around one of your bases/flags) and you have no friendly players nearby, hit them with an artillary strike to gain points for each kill.

2) Resupply. This is an often neglected commander ability. Resupply your men with health and ammo and win points fast! It is sometimes easier to earn points by resupplying than by artillary strikes.

3) Not all kills seem to earn you a point when you kill somebody by shooting at them with your rifle or with a tank. Therefore pick a supply or medic class to add to your points with throwing out ammo or med packs. You might also need to jump into the engineer's seat from time to time to repair your UAV or Artillary stations.

Other than that, if you cant be the commander because the role is already taken, simply kill, kill, kill and remember to throw out ammo and medi packs as often as possible.
